So I keep talking about Slimming World but I haven’t actually said much about it.
I thought I would share some of the changes and my recipes. It took me a couple of days to get it but I think I kinda have it down now. Any experts please correct me if I am wrong.
You can eat as many of the free foods as you want, which is meats (under 5% fat), veg, fruit and pasta?
One of the top things I now look for is the fat percentage, I never really checked the facts on food before but now I am conscious of it.
My typical diet is now:
Breakfast: Special K with semi skimmed milk or scrambled eggs
Lunch: Salad with grilled chicken or Quinoa wrap with grilled chicken and salad
Dinner: Grilled meat with salads, home made curry or turkey meat balls.
We have been grilling alot of meat on the BBQ and have swapped all carbs for a nice big salad.
I have been synning slightly with a dribble of garlic and herb salad dressing from Tesco, which is soo lovely and the taste is so strong you would literally just need a small dribble.
The Curry I made was lush, possibly needed a bit more water to make the sauce a bit more saucy but I found the recipe on this helpful website:
My new favourite sweet snack is 0% Fat Free Strawberry Yoghurt poured over chopped banana. This is genuinely delicious and trust me I have a massive sweet tooth!
I have only had one weigh in so far and managed to lose 6lbs! I am naughty and do keep weighing myself, I seem to lose a few then add a few and lose again! Fingers crossed I stay on a steady decline.
Ideally I would like to lose around five stone, I would be happy getting back to my curvy size 10-12.
